Hi Gary, I didn't realise it was you that took the video when I posted my first comment. Good to hear from you after so long.
It's important to get the right type of infra red camera for use in a holt, 940 nanometers, (no red glow), and wide angle, (3.6mm lens). If you google 'middlelevel' you will locate our web site and my email address for further info, if you would like it.
Cheers,
Cliff

Yes Tarka is lovely but unfortunately being the fox of the river his reputation is now suffering. They were responsible for wiping out a rare Avocet colony in Norfolk recently

this is possibly the best footage of otters in the UK i have ever seen. i'm amazed it doesn't have more views. i have been filming otters independently for 10 years now and i have never been this lucky!

This film deserves far more views than its current 2000 odd!

Fantastic to see otters in our Devon streams/rivers. They just make you glad to be alive when you see them! Thanks for posting this.
Super footage. So rare to get good images of otters behaving naturally away from the coast. Have just completed a project constructing over 60 otter holts on fenland waterways so hope to get good views like this for some lucky members of the public in years to come. Images of otters on internal holt cameras just appearing.

Can't recall the Norfolk incident with Avocets .. I used to work out there with Avocets with the RSPB and otters were never a 'problem ''...mink were though.

I was out filming woodland management work done over the winter and heard the cubs coming up the stream..so I hid behind a huge pile of cut wood and filmed from there.Ive been on site for 21 years and this was the first time I'd seen otter although we do survey for spraint etc ...
