Mao installed the bolshevism of Lenin which was a cadre-communism. What is not commonly realized is that this bolshevism = cadre-communism is actually a form of fascism or oligarchy.
Historians will agree that there is a short path from cadre-communism to dictatorship. (Stalin - Mao - Pol Pot)
The treatment of the tibetans by Han-chinese is proving that the Han-chinese aren't seriously considering tibetans as chinese.

The reported activities of chinese authorities are proving, that the chinese government is pursuing its plan to annihilate the spiritual leaders of the tibetans. It is a ruthless demolition of a whole culture.
Almost every chinese official statement refering Tibet is governed by hypocrisy, lie, selfdeception or at least a lasting adhesive tape over the mouth.
In this respect China at present has become the totalitarian fascist model state, that Orwell depicted in his novel "1984".

Why bother? All information will be negative on America, and I know America isn't a bad country. All the information you have been getting is all negative things about China. Look on the positive side of China, and China isn't as bad as country as you think.

The communist party doesn't like religion and is very keen to suppress it, unless it can make money out of it by attracting tourists. Keeping a few monasteries and churches also helps them with their propaganda.
That's why about 20 or less of the 6000+ Tibetan monasteries are still standing.
