A high pH does not make it "too acid" it makes it too alkaline. Wich is obvious if you went to elementary school. Is it just me or does this woman studder so much bercause she simply has no idea of what she's talking about?

Water temp should always be room temp or a bit warmer. This is also true because you should let your tap water sit out for 24-48 hours. This allows the chlorine to evaporate. To cold or to warm of water can shock and damage you plant.
