  • You want to use green tomatoes because red ones are too ripe and mushy and most of the flavor will be gone.

  • Fried green tomatoes is a southern classic.I eat so many,my tomatoes have a hard time staying long enough to turn red! The tartness opens your tastebuds.Not sure if i ever heard someone try it and say yuk! Not the best for you,eating them all the time.But man that is some good eating!

  • @dulce3tat I just did try this once....but I might again this year since I'll have some more green ones.

  • I still have lotsa green tomatoes! Im not sure if they tasted good tho green? Ive never had them! Do you make this still or did you just try it once? WOW they really were crunchy! I thought it was a chip! lol
