The girls everyone was too scared to warn you about!
Poet Heather Buzzard reads at Bad Bitches presented by Kill Your Darlings ATL Sat., Aug. 20, 2011, at arts space Couch Couch in Atlanta, GA.
Heather's poetry is a style all onto its own, but her reading for Bad Bitches was especially memorable as she paired her own style and, combined with the badassery of the true bad bitch that she is, modernized template of our beloved Dr. Seuss to tell the tales of strong women through her poems:
"One Bitch, Two Bitch, Good Bitch, Bad Bitch"
"Fox and Cocks"
"Horton Hires a Ho"
"The Grinch Who Stole My Virginity"
Heather received her bachelors degree in Creative Writing at Emory University. In the past she's worked with the Atlanta Young Writers Institute, The Hostel in the Forest, and Atlanta's Free Poems On Demand.
The evening featured readings by eight local female writers/poets/bad bitches, including slam poetry by Blondie of the Clermont Lounge, as well music by El Fossil and Bosco, and a drag show by Twinki.
