What about lamaz classes? Is that the same thing? Because the hypno class that I am going to take is exactly like a lamaz class. They focus on breathing and focusing your mind on something OTHER than pain.

The newfound respectability of these practices has not changed their underlying nature.
A christian should under NO CIRCUMSTANCES participate in hypnosis. PERIOD.

Many of the techniques used in hypnosis are shared by mystical, philosophical, and religious systems, including the occult. The fruit of the Spirit is self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). As we follow the Spirits lead, He will give us the power to better control our own selves. Hypnosis involves the transfer of control away from ourselves to another person/spirit.

Very understandable fear. And definately something worth asking about if you were considering a natural birth. But the place that I am birthing at, if they need to do an emergency C section. The hospital part is five minutes away and my birthing center midwife be with me. Also, at the hospital CAPE CORAL HOSPITAL they wont take the baby out of the room even when there is aC section done. SO Im thankful for that.

Yeah haha its kind of funny when I tell people that...I really thought I would have gained alot more so far but Im glad Ive only gained 1 now, I lost one and gained one back haha. GOD BLESS ALWAYS!

Oh my goodness, we sound soo similar it is funny. This is my first baby, we just got the home study course for hypnobirthing ourselves (we were also worried about the "hypnotizing thing), we both are in music ministry, and we are also within days of each other. I am glad I found your site. Can't wait til the next video.
