Kwai Chi explores a hidden lookout just off the M25 ring around London. It is one of the best inland lookout points in urban England

To get here go to Fort Lane on this map http://tinyurl.com/yjjqr48 and walk past the TV towers for about 5 minutes until you reach a gate. Open the gate and continue past a pavilion and you will reach this map http://tinyurl.com/yguk9sw which is where this video has been taken

  • Hi Kwai - Ireally enjoyed your video of Reigate. I attended Boarding School at Reigate not that far from where you were filming. My School was the Royal Alexandra and Albert School in the 260 acre Gatton Park which has a very long history itself, the school and it's grounds are open to the public the first sunday each month during term time. A little correction. The coast is just 30 miles away from where you were filming.

  • @oldgattonian thank you very much for the information :) I'll have to check out the school soon :)

  • If you fancy an extended walk to the featured spot you can follow the instructions to the m25 from Reigate but instead of taking the first exit off the round-a-bout go all the way round and come back on yourself (as if you were returning to Reigate) and then take the left sign posted 'Fanny's Farm' then take an immediate right - you will find a large car park with basic facilities and refreshments - head over the bridge to start your walk - you will also have an opportunity to pass Reigate Fort.

  • thanks for that :) Great directions and advice.

  • No problems - was limited to only 500 characters but really should have mentioned that Reigate Fort is really quite something and definitely worth seeing.

  • and not to step on the electrical white tape that surrounds the fort.

  • @kwaichi You need to come in during the first sunday of each month and term. otherwise you would be considered a trespasser.

  • i found myself in Reigate town centre at the weekend and popped into it to get a quick meal after driving from Surrey.

What can I say ? well, what an UTTER shithole ! Loads of Chavs standing outside the pubs and agressive angry people everywhere especially on the roads. I can only guess theres lots of unemployment there and drug abuse.

bloody dive imo and I won't make the mistake of getting lost and ending up right in the middle of that place again, was truly horrid.

  • That crater you talked about is apparently made by a British plane in WW2 which dropped its own bomb by mistake, hopefully ;).

  • you should book yourself a seat at vertigo bar nr liverpool street station. it's the best view in london. the vid of it is going to be up on here soon :)
