I too have Narcolepsy and struggle with bi polar disorder. your memory loss is most likely just another symptom of your N. I have Cataplexy also but only mildly. The greatest book for you as well as your friends to read so they may better understand you is a book Called Narcolepsy a funny disease that is no laughing matter. Its very easy to read, no textbook feel like most books. It is written by a DR that also struggles with N. I hope this helps you and good luck in everything you do.
