2010 [Ep 7] Wu Shu 武术 - Guzheng Solo - Happy Chinese New Year!

Happy Lunar New Year! Best wishes of health and abundance to you! This was a song I learnt when I was 13, when I was playing in the school's Chinese Orchestra. I hope it has the appropriate mood for a fighting-fit Year of the Tiger! There were no guzheng parts for this song, so I was assigned to play the drums, and a good friend of mine who was also a guzheng player was assigned to play the cymbals. We stood near the double bass and cello players, and my memory of what they played helped me develop the bass line for this song. I had very little time to improvise from memory and even less time to practice this song because I was rushing to fly off soon to my hometown to celebrate the Lunar New Year with my friends and family. Koo 小姐...or should I say 太太, 妳好 :) I've watched some of ur vids....very impressive and elegant.
