I'll be honest I'm 40 so I am old, not sure what a fanboy is but I can tell by your riding the dick comment it's not good, lol. But it's not a wise statement, because what I am telling you as someone who was there, MOST WERE RIDING THE DICK, as you call it because you ask ANYONE THAT WAS THERE, WU TANG, BIG, PAC, SNOOP EVEN, WAS MORE RESPECTED DURING THOSE YEARS THAN NAS! ASK ANYONE, THEY WILL TELL YOU MOST NOT ALL MOST RESPECTED WU-TANG, NAS/JAY WERE FOR THE SOFTER NIGGAS, WU WAS OLD AND DIRTY!

Nas and Jay-Z is a great way to start with hiphop, but when you start to love the Wu, you will realize you will love them forever and you start forgetting about Nas soon enough. At least nowadays.

    The Wu is forever!

In regards to my Nas statement, Nas/Jay had this feud going on back in the early 90's but all us REAL hip hop fans were like THESE TWO HOMO'S AREN'T EVEN IN THE TOP 5! That's why I made that statement. Now 20 years later, I know you younger 25 and under cats who love hip hop say Nas is the best of all time, cool, each generation has their guy but I want to tell you the GOD'S HONEST TRUTH, BACK IN THE EARLY/MID 90'S NAS/JAY WASN'T ON WU'S LEVEL! THAT IS THE HONEST TRUTH! ASK ANY WHO WAS THERE!

nas first came out in 91. main source live at the barbeque. his album didnt sell well but doesnt mean it wasnt any good. i was there i grew up in nyc im a 70s baby i came up w all that original hip hop. whats wrong with your argument is the fact that hip hop artists and groups were all original back then. nas was lyrically a beast, wu tang clan was musically ahead of there time and so on and so forth. just cuz ilmatic didnt sell dont make it whack. lil wayne sell million and he sssuxxx

illmatic as a n album and 36 as an album cant be compared because its a group album on one side and illmatic is solo. different ingredients and perspectives are put into them. illmatic was probably THE single most amazing solo album in hip hop ever. 36 the most GROUNDBREAKING hip hop album ever. only built for cuban linx pt 1 probably the most influential album from the 90s. this is the best way to put these albums in place but each one is TIMELESS therefore making each one a classic
