Not sure what you are doing here. Are you doing these in an effort to teach? Is someone supposed to look at your playing and learn the song? I would suggest more feel in your playing and more attention to "groove" before teaching others. You have a way to go to make it "human" and "soulful". Your taste in music, if indicated by the songs you do, is wonderful. Stand up and jam sometimes and see if it flows.

You mentionned jammin with R, so ti seems that you're involved into music probably more than I am.
But in order to remove the bass on those tracks I have to remove all the stuff in the middle : bass drums, vocals.... and probably the feel of the song.
I put sampled drums on the top and play along.
I teach for sure and I don't think I have no groove on this one.
By the way Byron Miller is the bass player on the "Dream on" album!
