There are many comments and suggested remedies on the internet about this exact problem. Before you launch into anything try re-setting the ECM by disconnecting the negative battery connection for 30 minutes, then re-connect and re-start the engine. A bad battery may also be the culprit.

I suggest anyone dealing with these thype of "ghost problems" first try the 30 minute battery disconnect method before launching on to other remedies.

Hey could you tell me what fixed this for you? My 2006 larado is doing the same thing! Spent 800 bucks and still stalls? Should we replace the cam shaft position sensor like other people are saying in the coments???
Thanks for any help!

Jeeps are known for many annoying problems. As soon as one thing is fixed, another thing comes up.

flux was not cleaned off crank sensor now u have this
-
You need a new Crankshaft Position Sensor. That will fix it.
-
Sounds to me that you need to put some fuel injector cleaner in the gas tank.

have you figured this out yet? i have the same problem.

hi, i have a question, im planning to buy Jeep but im stuck with my decision. First of all that would be my first car and i really have no idea about cars. I have question about Grand cherokee 2005 and Grand cherokee 2004 which one is better,

My 2007 Escalade used to stall when coming to a stop in drive. Dealer couldn't figure it out. They replaced the cam sensor, did a fuel injection cleaning service (throttle body too, I think), and then finally replaced the battery. It did not do it again.
no surprise, a problem then dealer doesn't want to or can't figure it out . . .

The same thing happened tome and the problem was that they needed to reset the computer and change the battery, now after that it never happened to me again, i have a V8 4.7, the battery show that it was good but the main problem was the battery.
