Still one of the most unbelievable blown calls in all my years of watching hockey. Recap:
*Faceoff at 3.6 seconds.
*Shot leaves stick by ~1.4 seconds.
*Red goal light (the light to the right) turns on and almost simultaneously both refs begin 'goal' signal at 0.4 seconds.
*Green light (on the left) turns on at 0.0, as it should since it automatically does so when the clock reaches 0.0. Also, it should be noted that the red goal light cannot turn on if the green light is already on (ergo, the red light turned on first).
*Ref reviews call by asking replay official to show a still image of the overhead goal camera at the point when the clock read 0.0. By that time the puck had hit the back of the net and bounced out. So the moron ruled 'no goal'.
*This view is chosen because you can see the goal lights and referees in the same shot.
