I thought that there were 25,000 ISD's and that they moved from sector to sector.

If the federation saw 2,800 ships as a massive threat, would they literally shit themselves when they saw the millions of vessels the empire posses?

fun fact, 2,800 jem'hadar ships, most of which being those weak little bugs, were considered to be an Irrevocable advantage to the Dominion. so they went balls out to stop them from taking down the minefield. Sisko was even willing to go in on his own with the defiant, since they would be screwed either way.

now Imagine hundreds of thousands of ships that individually can take on entire fleets.

also even a TIE fighter has enough firepower ( 32,000 gigawatts) to bring down a Galaxy Class ship.

Fighters have been shown to damage Federation vessels even with their shields up, such as with Federation Peregrine fighters in the DS9 episode Sacrifice of Angels blowing up Cardassian Galors.

Federation only controls 150 worlds, Empire controls millions,

firepower per minute in megatons there is a huge disparity,

Acclamator = 144,000,000
GCS = 360

that's right an Acclamator is worth 400,000 Enterprise Ds, and an Imperial II class Star Destroyer is worth over 300 Acclamators!

Military? so are the Cardassians, Dominion, Klingons and Romulans, and they compare themselves to the Federation all the time.

course even those "Military oriented" factions are severely under militarized compared to the Empire, with no dedicated ground force except for away teams en mass, no support vehicles or weapons of any kind, totally reliant on their starships to provide much more firepower than a phaser rifle.

Um, no.

The fedrations entire fleet numbers in the thousands(at most), hile the empire's sector fleets are 1,300 ships (24 of them ISD's)according to Tarkin the Empire controls over a million sectors....

anyone care to do the math?

That would be over 24 million ISD's, and thats not counting the other ships.

WRONG! If the Galaxy Class Starships could do 1 gig, it would take 2,218,000 of them firing all their weapons to combat an ISD. So, even if they had that many ships (or raw resources), they would still be only able to compete with one ISD in terms of FP.

The only reason why you can't really compare is the Empire are very military whereas Starfleet are more exploration/rescue orintated. Love Star Wars and 2009 Trek.

You can't compare the Federation and the Empire ship-to-ship. Obviously Imperial Star Destroyers are much more powerful than individual Galaxy Class starships. But, the number of starships that the Federation has at its disposal far outweighs the number of Star Destroyers. Fighters are useless against the Federation so it would be a capital ship match up. I give the material edge to the Federation, but the overall edge to the Empire because the Federation has no balls.
