CREDITS TO: youtube user firemanzf for filming this video

Title says it all, enjoy the sirens though this time! For my trashy friends: look closely and you'll see a few EDCO Rotos every once in a while.

  • @studpuppy69 Yes it is a series 60. Okay so I am not the driver or anyone else in this video BUT, I had the honor of being in one of my local fire engines and I just happened to ask what they were running when I noticed it sounded EXACTLY like this one in the video. They told me the Series 60 from good ole Detroit Diesel lol!

  • @TheSeriesx that's the sound of the strobe lights as they flash on and off.

  • whats the digital chirp in the back ground, you hear it alot when he is braking, or lets off the gas, i know its apart of the rig its not the first time ive heard it

  • @bobcats330 Go on the net and type..Youtube Pierce Pumper Detroit 6V92 ...or any other brand name you can think of, with Detroit 6V92, 6-71, 6V53, 8V71, 12V71..whatever you want...and you will hear the difference...listen

to them a few times over...especially in a " cab ride " video..then go back and listen to this one again...Big difference.

  • @TurbinePower69 you dont i know what you mean, if youve dealt with them for forty years, enough said. i know theres a difference in the sounds and thats why i say it sounds like a 2stroke. but if youve dealt with them for 40 years and say its a 4 stroke, then it is.

  • @bobcats330 At the risk of sounding arrogant (and I sure don't mean to)...I know I am....but...if sounds

" like " a 2 cycle to you...more power to you...but it still doesn't change what it actually Is. Two cycle DD's

have a much higher frequency resonance than this one does, and also you don't get the torsional vibration, that this one exhibits, either. Go search the "tube" for other / older fire trucks with the 2 cycle D's and you WILL clearly hear a huge difference. Take Care.

  • @nmtoc At least YOU...know a 4 cycle when you hear one...more than I can say for others on here.

  • @TurbinePower69 you may be right but it still sounds like a 2 stroke to me.

  • @bobcats330 Thanks for your reply...and although the 2cycles "ruled" for five or six decades, they are fast being replaced by 4 cycles due to the whims of the moronic enviromentalists. The "engine" in this video is NOT a 2 cycle...it is without question a 4 cycle...and I'll stake over 40 yrs experience with 2 cycle DD's on it.

  • @TurbinePower69 no thats a 2-stroke, probably a 6v92TA Silver. ive drove one and you know when its a 2 stroker vs a 4stroker.
