This video is a tour around some of Charlotte's inner core neighborhoods such as Myers Park, Midtown, and South End. Myers Park is an area of fine homes, tree-lined streets, and curving drives while Midtown and South End are being called home by a younger demographic due to new, trendy housing and a liberal, creative feel. The song I used in this video is "Lucky Man" by The Verve, a late '90s favorite of mine. :-) In the future, there will be tours of NoDa, SouthPark, Myers Park, and Ballantyne.

  • One of the greatest cities in the US - definitely!

One of the greatest cities in the world - don't think so! I'm from Europe (and have traveled around the world) and compared to European cities Charlotte is BORING (but one good thing is that it is not as boring as Atlanta), and very difficult to get around if you don't have a car (which not a lot of people coming from Europe have when they're new here).

  • @AndyMKordo Okay, to each his own... I'll be the first to admit that Charlotte is not a world class city and is definitely not on the level of international cities such as London, Paris, Tokyo, Shanghai, etc., but it is a city that is very well respected around the globe. It continues to display and live by a "can do" attitude that many cities, quite frankly, lack.

  • Your really good

  • @11Akita Thank you!

  • Charlotte, North Carolina. Without a doubt...one of the greatest cities in the US if not the world!

  • @jimbo41pie Completely agree!

  • @adrianroam95 I would absolutely love to, but that is a verrryy far and expensive drive for me. I'm thinking about driving out to the Pacific NW next summer...maybe then?

  • you should come up to Vancouver BC and film some vids

  • @candigirl1970 Thanks. If I have the time (and money), I'll get up there sometime.
