Hand water pump with a pendulum - new manual hand pumping system - 1200 litres per hour (Note: The pipe is placed at the depth of 12 meters, but because of hydrostatic pressure, water level is at the depth of 3 to 5 meters (depending on underground waters, atmospheric rainfalls etc.)) Capacity of 1200 litres per hour is calculated by pumping the bucket of 20 litres per minute - 20 l/min x 60 minutes = 1200 litres/hour. - Miroslav Zupkov and Miroslav Rodic, August 2004)

Yep, right now I think he looses much of the gain this could make because of a relative small pendulum, too much is absorbed in friction and such. Plus its easier pushing a longer pendulum at a small angle than a short one at almost 180 degrees. Efficiency follows with that...

A nice heavy ten tonne pendulum, preferably two swinging in counter oscillation to balance structural loads..blah.
The pivot is sprung and damped with knitted steel sock dampers inside the springs. Result the pivot box gets hot enough to grill burgers, boil kettles,etc.
Guests asked to give the pendulum a gentle shove now and then. Conservation Laws need scrapping! NOW!
