This video begins with a view of Takeshita Street, seen from the Yamanote Line platforms at the North end of Harajuku Station. Passengers de-boarding and boarding the Yamanote Line Trains. The Yamanote Line is Tokyo's major loop line that connects all of the commercial centers. Finally some views of people passing through the station fair-gates.

This footage should be around the late 90's, because the departure melody is different from what is used from right now. Plus E231-500 series haven't debut on the Yamanote Line yet.

Yea this was July 1998. I have seen videos of the new equipment, but didn't notice the different music. I'll have to check that out.:)
