THE HUNGRY HEARTS is a pin-up performance band whose members express themselves through music, lyrics and choreographed body movement. With music inspired by David Lynch and Marlene Diedrich, there is singing about kisses waiting to be found, high heel shoes walking the highway of love and how passion splits the wild heart. Old-fashioned, melodramatic and moody, THE HUNGRY HEARTS tell stories that involve the experience of being in the body through their performances, seeking to recreate forgotten dreams in atmospheric scenarios where old memories return in full force to the naked stage... THE HUNGRY HEARTS was established in 2006 under the name Sofia and the Secret band. In August the same year they performed a double bill at Bar Wotever in London. In February 2007 they performed at the opening of Vestlandsutstillingen, a regional Norwegian art exhibition. The Hungry Hearts compose their own music, lyrics and films.
