Roisin Murphy - Overpowered (Seamus Haji Remix)

Róisín Marie Murphy, born 5 July 1973, is an Irish singer-songwriter and music producer, known for her electronica style.

Murphy first came to note as part of the electronic music duo Moloko. Her partner in the band was then-boyfriend Mark Brydon. After the two ended their romantic relationship, Murphy released her debut solo album Ruby Blue, written and produced with Matthew Herbert, in 2005. Her second solo album Overpowered was released in 2007. On 10 January 2008, Overpowered received a nomination for the Choice Music Prize in the Republic of Ireland; the award is given each year to an Irish artist who has proved to produce a critically acclaimed album.

"Overpowered" is a Electronica/Alternative Dance/Pop song written by Róisín Murphy, Seiji, and Mike Patto for Murphy's second solo album Overpowered, released in 2007. It was produced by Seiji and Murphy herself. The song was released as the album's first single. The single reached number 149 in the United Kingdom on downloads alone, as its physical formats were ineligible to chart.

Seamus Haji is a British record producer. He is of Irish, Indian and Iranian descent. He has remixed many tracks by other artists, some of which have been promoted as the main version of the track in question. He often produces in partnership with Paul Emanuel.
