  • john looks the new rhcp :)

  • okay we also love john, but you there are 3 awesome guys bashing out a drum solo, that should be the main focus here :]

  • listening to califonication makes me feel so good

  • It is Dec. 14th 2009 and John Frusciante has left the peppers... a sad day for humanity.

  • @mouldeck

The Foos were kind of one that just came out that moment. I Like them a lot but I wouldn't put them above a lot of others that just don't come to mind.

Vic is great in my opinion. You should check out his tune "The Lesson"

It's one of those ones that grows on you the more you listen to it.

Vic also plays a lot of straight up funk. I don't know if you've heard this but I wouldn't put him out completely.

  • hehe then we don't listen to completely different things! :)

i like KOL, i saw them live once. i prefer the early albums but i like them, specially the drummer, he has a very free way to play, it's different from what we can usually hear. i'm not a fan of wooten cause he plays a sort of fusion-jazz stuff that i don't like, but definitely one of the greatest bass players ever! i like what he did with steeve smith though.

foo fighters... i like nirvana more (same "flat" problem here!!)

  • @mouldeck

SHIT I forgot kings of Leon. Actually let me redo that list; RHCP, DMB, Talking Heads, Kings of Leon, and... hmmm I'll leave one to be decided.

  • Are you talking about in the way of intensity or actual notes? And yes, his solo stuff is all brilliant in my opinion. Especially some of the older stuff like Smile from the Streets you Hold.

Hmmm, I don't want to put it in order of favorites but I'll name the top 5 I can think of off the top of my head RIGHT NOW: RHCP, Dave Matthews Band, Victor Wooten (more the musician than a lot of the songs; I dig his jams and stuff), Foo Fighters, Fugazi. RHCP and DMB stay but the rest change depending.

  • i dunno... i think it misses ups and downs, it's sort of flat. like the deftones. i love them live but on CD (like white pony) most of the time it's flat. the songs start at some point and never go up a level, you know what i mean?

jhon frusciante was pretty brilliant with josh klinghoffer though.

ok, so tell me which your 3, 5 or 10 (or more) favorite bands or albums
