He lets his pets free in the car??? If he has an accident those cats will go flying to their death against the car window.

@burninglegal So would you say getting your fingernails pulled out is no big deal either? It is CRUEL!

@saucebiotch just look for a breeder in the same area (google search it) i'm sure you'll find plenty, if not some breeders offer shipping services, pure bred cats are quite expensive but it's so worth it!

where can i get a birman cat?

Watching this is realise how fat my birman is! Her stomach almost reaches the floor(but its a little hard to tell because she is so fluffy) shes fat not because of her diet( she eats about a quarter of a small tin of wet food a day, and my moggie kitten finishes it off) but because she spends 95% of her time sleeping and louging around!

@burninglegal No, its more like having your fingernails pulled out. Cats use their claws as tools in the same way we sometimes use our nails. Cats cant grip things like we do since they dont have thumbs, so they sometimes hook their claws in to lift something, like a toy, or any other object they want to interact with.

neonayla is right. There are sensitive nerves in dogs and cats paws. Youre lucky your cat didn't end up badly injured. Declawing is very dangerous. They use their claws as a balance center for their feet and self protection. I hope you never let your declawed cat outside.
I'm guessing, 'cus your declawing was a success, that it had been done by a professional vet that had lots of experience with cats? That's the only way to go about this but I would never do it. Nor would I recommend it.

Declawing is pretty cruel to your cat, I think you should just gently file the claws if they get too sharp or long, but don't clip their claws, you could hit sensitive nerves. But cats are really worth it, despite them scratching furniture. :) I'm not really sure though, my cat went outside too much so we never worried about him scratching furniture. My dad wanted him not to go indoors because cat urine makes bad stains. I wanted him to go indoors though, because cats are meant to be indoors.
