I was at this specific concert in May 1983. David drank so much Jack Daniels.So we toilet papered him. He kept leaving the stage while Eddie and Alex covered with long solos. I loved that part, but as you heard it and someone else said it a,"A TRAINWRECK" was how many of their numbers went. The crowd of 300,000 was very electrified from bands like Ozzy, Quiet Riot, and about ten other bands that hyped US for Van Halen but they were dissapointing. DLR was too drunk to get ANY that night

@TheJhenshaw ACTUALLY when sammy joined the band they had 4 gold or platinum (I forget which) records. Eddie was a driving force for the band, but it wasn't all him carrying the band (obviously)..When the vocalist from extreme that followed sammy joined the band they only sold like 50,000 records in total lol. I'm just saying.. when DLR was in the band he was just an obnoxious douche wad with a terrible voice. I think it's safe to say Eddie and Michael alone carried the band until Sammy joined.

@centinexslays stfu man eddie and DLR made kept vh alive if both EVH and DLR left van halen would have been dead for the longest time when DLR left half of van halen died the other half was eddie and he kept it going thats why they are still here today im not saying sammy is bad but van halen was unstoppable with DLR and eddie

Okay.. I just have to come right out and say it.. I have no idea how anyone liked Lee Roth let alone thought he was "Amazing". The guy was a complete joke and still is. lol He couldn't even sing his monotone "paint by numbers" vocals live. He was basically nothing more than an obnoxious hype guy... the equivilant to Flavor Flav...Sammy Hagar was so much better and it's so gay how many retards give Lee Roth props. I'll love VH till the day I die... But it has NOTHING to do with Lee Roth.
