heres what worked for me, i noticed w/ a magnifying glass each corner roller iz magnetic and loaded w/ debree, lots of metal, welding and grinding crud.

compressed air did nothing, i folded a piece of tape and used the sticky side to slide over the each roller, you'll see the crud stick to the tape, a little pressure works for the heavier metal watch you don't break the roller. This fixed the tracking to a blistering white nuckle speed, it didn't address the track ball press DOWN feature.

Okay, so I did everything the video specified on a curve 8330. Problem is, the chrome ring won't just "snap back into place"! How do I fix it?!

I have cleaned mine once or twice this way, and it works better... for a while. Ultimately, you really need to take the trackball completely apart --- which means taking it out, and then releasing the metal retaining clip to drop the ball out AND the 4 magnetic geared rollers --- because those get hair, fuzz, and dirt wrapped around them, and no amount of cleaning solution will get it out.

Haha I Just Put my lips Around the track ball and started to Suck So the dust comes out and it worked fine :D
