Padme falls in love with Obi-Wan but he will not leave the Jedi. Padme feels sorry for Anakin and marries him since he loves her.

Its a bit sad, cause Obi-Wan is a true Jedi. He never would love her, cause he know that is forbidden. But i think if Obi-Wan really fells in love with her... it would probably work... with lots of luck!
But i like the pair Obi-Wan/Padme defenitly more than Anakin/Padme...

You all forget that Obi-Wan is a true Jedi, and he fully understands that he is forbidden to love. They are supposed to be completely selfless. So Obi and Padme would have never worked because Obi would never consider it.
