  • DLSJ5, Danm man, you have a VT-700??? No wonder you full like crazy on those R35's... ESS is going to be my choice on my E92 M3 also when I SC this summer. If I remember correct you also had a E46 M3 and were on M3forums no? your screen name is familiar to a memeber that I think was on the boards Well anyway very Sick E92 M3 you got there man! Would love to feel that thing pull! And about that Bonus run, wow! what a Sick GTR. what is the HP on that beast Also what else you have done on your car?

  • @Jackj28 It's a VT625 with Meth. ESS makes a great kit, after these runs, I decided to lower the compression, add more boost, etc. the car is now a VT725, hope to get some runs with this new setup soon, thank you for the kind words!

  • shit what the fuck is up with that last GTR damn

  • @EugeneTaiwan Haha, pretty crazy E!

  • @DLSJ5 Are you the one who raced the V10 Z4 on Dragtimes?

  • @goguhu Even the E90 GTS and CRT comes in at 3400-3500 range. But perhaps that's the purpose with the CRT ... indicate what to expect when it comes to weight/power in F10? (450hp/3500lb ... I'll take that). That's as close I think BMW will take the M3 vs M5 F10. 4100lb btw is for the Convertible. Let's just all hope for more power, more features, less weight and still sharp handling :) (still tempted to throw on the ESS VT650 ... if it was not for CARBS :(

  • Yeah I know that HPF pushes the S54 to 1k+, but without having data on it, it must impact it's durability (would guess sub 10k before re-build). With the S65 around 650 I think it's good for 100k, same for the S54 at 450 range. It's not just the cylinder can cracking of the block I'm worried about, it's also the strain on the valves. And yes, the M3 is getting fat ... 300lb more each year ... hope that the F30 fixes that ... at least get it down to 3500lb range. CSL.

  • @goguhu Of course those are a couple of corporate reasons amongst many others. I know the s65 motor is lighter but 30lbs doesn't help its 3700-4100lbs stock weight! as to 3050 w/ CSL pkg. ESS kit for the V8 m3 at 775 sounds ok. But normal s/c c5 vettes get 800whp. Im sure you've herd HPF new stg 5 puts the built s54 to 1300+bhp. Thats why I bought the e46 M for 20k. Love the sharp lines look & more performance to $ ratio. Stg 3 800rwhp M for 50k total? Thats less then a 335I Msrp. But i luv all

  • @luckeycraig Not really ... they are going back to lower emission / improve mpg ... ESS can get the S65 (4.0L V8 in M3) to 775hp with their kit (they are not selling it though, mainly due to issue with 2 year warranty I'm guessing). btw ... S65 is 30lb less than the S54 (3.2L I6). Granted an cast iron engine might have room for more FI than an aluminium engine. Lowering the RPM though mean you need beefier gear box which add weight again ... it's not an easy balance.

  • So BMW is basically stating that from the 2013 M3 online article that the e92 was a complete backtrack. lol jk
