According to the statistics available from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, there were 3.4 Million job openings in September. Unemployment was 9%.
Comparing the two, for a US population of 307 Million, that means that there were approximately 27.5 million people unemployed and 3.4 million jobs available.
That's almost 9 people for every open job!
"Why don't they just get a job" is the most ignorant and uninformed defense that anybody could use, especially when they are "the job creators"...
