  • @Ingan Bluebirds belong to the thrush family (þröstur = thrush), but they are only found in America, so there is no real Icelandic name for it specifically. The word þröstur NORMALLY refers to the kind of thrush you can find in Iceland. Just google þröstur fugl or skógarþröstur.

  • @SuperLeetdude sorry! I wanted to say that the spelling is the same. :) :)

  • @ninni660

blue is blár not blá though, the birds are blue = Fuglarnir eru bláir

  • @SirBrackalot The same here! I speak Danish and German. There are many same words fx: blá (german "blau") If I have a Chance to learn it, I do it!!!

  • @Hlinhp Þekkir mig ekki, getur ekki sagt til um það.

  • @56588 Efst nú um það

  • Ég er sætari en Bambi

  • @noirettebeauty I think the correct word for a bluebird is "þröstur", it has probably been translated like this because it fits with the script and how their lips move. But anybody, please correct me if I'm wrong!

  • @Thiodiska It truly IS a BEAUTIFUL language!!!

  • This is sooo sweet!!! I love Icelandic!!! I wish I could speak it fluently...
