I've been playing with that feature of my piano for years, but I didn't realize it had an actual name. It's such a fantastic way to create really ethereal songs. :)

One of the most interesting and science-y bits of music. I love how there's more than you can understand as you listen to a note. Sometimes you have to just let it wash over you.

I had this problem before when my friend from the states sent me a few songs; I couldn`t open them. I guess it`s a different format I can`t open here on a regular programm. The old Europe, huh. Anyhow, have fun putting the claps together!

@CatchTh3Wind If you're talking about the middle pedal, then yes, sometimes. They work differently on different pianos but the key is that the only damper raised is that one string. Some middle pedals raise the bottom three octaves, that produces a sound that is similar but different.
