I actually contacted him about the smoke and fumes. He keeps the birds outside most of the time and far away from the birds. What he actually uses for the smoke isnt toxic to the birds.

It's all water based, and non toxic. We checked with many specialists regarding the health for myself, as well as the dancers, birds, and other animals in the show, and the fog is ok. As for pyro, the animals are safe at those moments.

And to all the superficial animalist who think that we are awfull with our birds:
do you really think that we don't care much than you of an animal with whom we work and that we usually trained for long time and costed us money and time.
With these birds we spend quite a lot of time; personally I can recognise my white doves one from the other...
