Edmunds CEO Jeremy Anwyl responds to Representative Jackie Speier (Dem, CA 12th Congressional District) spirited request to further explain his assertion that "the consumer is not onboard with higher mileage vehicles" in light of a June 2011 press release from the Ford Motor Company that appears to state the opposite. The exchange took place during the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform hearings on October 12, 2011.

Unfortunately this clip doesn't show the entire verbal exchange, but I am really hoping that Anwyl was able to submit the fact that hybrid sales account for less than 2% of total vehicle sales.

Doesn't matter what people say in polls. Sales figures don't lie.
