A new e-coupon on the nook doesn't do what it's supposed to do: allow for a free (non-Google) edition of Alice as an in-store incentive. To Barnes & Noble's credit, they appear to be aware of the problem (although it was after explaining to the tech three times what I was observing and his discussing with others over a 15-min. period that this was disclosed). Reported to a BN salesperson at the info/nook desk. Will try again tomorrow or Friday.
Thanks - this is an issue that is not that intuitive for most new users; however, there was a problem that was still tacitly acknowledged by BN tech support when I called. Since they already had me on the phone, they didn't explain what you just did. Strange that they didn't point this out during my call. ..

you have to navigate down, using arrows, to select the offer. You selected ebooks as category.
