  • look imo i read Morrisson's run on X-Men from start to finish and he had alotta good ideas, it was just, i dunno his style of writing just always sorta alienated me, i could never really get intot he books and was confused about what the hell was happening alotta the time. When Whedon took over i was so happy. Im not dissin the man cos i haven't read his other stuff. Having said that him or his co-op artist must be blamed for those awful costumes which only Wolvie, beast and Emma could pull off

  • @227060 Actually the costumes was editorial mandate to appeal to the movie audience.

  • Have you read the Batman where Grant Morrison wrote Batman as a Pirate... wait, let me say that one more time... Batman as a PIRATE! Just because something is acid-written, or "crazy" doesn't make it profound, or remarkable. I'm a pretty big X-Men person and it's not a polarizing book really. Giant-Size X-Men #1/X-Men 94 was the greatest thing to happen to X-Men. Grant's new X-Men was a good story. And for Grant M. it's a great story as most of the time he's awful (see Pirate Batman).

  • @wiparker824 Actually the pirate batman stuff was part of a bigger story that is one of the most intelligent and multileveled comic book runs ever put out.

Giant size 1 actually isn't all that great of a comic. X-men didn't really get great until Byrne came on and that's when Claremont really hit his stride as a writer.

  • It was a great run that catches a lot of crap for no good reason. It certainly has its differences from all of Claremont's work, but I felt it was a great evolution from the good-old days. It was a continuation from the 80's and the better part of the 90's, but I think it's far better than a lot of people say. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it.

  • @blowshimselfupdude do you think this is better than astonishing x men?

  • I hate New Xmen. I never could bring myself to reading this shit that just warped the Xmen mythos into Morrison`s own stupid opus! I`m not big on grant morrison or his titles. New Xmen is the starting of Xmen`s decay in the 2000s. Can't stand the look and costumes of this awful Xmen period. The only Xmen stories I`ve loved lately were Astonishing Xmen, Messiah Complex, Second Coming and the X-Force title by rick remender (also previous Xforce by Kyle & Yost).

  • @Tigerkaya I guess it's just different colour techniques and he changed his art a bit in All Star and Batman & Robin..

  • @narutobboy No prob. :D

  • @DGLBatman Oh really, ok then thanks man :)

  • @narutobboy About 40.

  • @wiparker824 I think the fact that your having a go at the concept of Batman being a Pirate without looking at the concept or story as a whole is very ignorant, you should research more on the whole story or previous issues before taking a swing at Grant Morrison..

Maybe the story was about Bruce finding his way back to his time period...just MAYBE.. :P

  • How many issues are there alltogether ?

  • eer no as far as I m concerned Morrison is hit or miss &mostly miss nowadays, when you think Sue Storm should have incestuous feelings towards Johnny or that kissing Paris Hilton british edition in front of your wife's grave whose body isn't even cold or that Friggin Darkseid lord of apokolips , seeker of the anti-life equation should be beaten by a karaoke song make for good stories I'd say it's time to lay off the ecstasy

that said his JLA is pretty cool though & i loved his starro
