Pokemon Battle #122 Xerxes vs Ravenn *Tournament FINALS* -mixtier-

In the voice of Mega Man Volnut from Mega Man Legends when you start up the game.... HERE WE GO!

At long last. The finals. A grueling road. A roller coaster of obstacles and controversy and blood sweat tears boiling down to this match.

Win, and claim eternal glory. Lose, and.... well okay its double elimination so lose and we rematch for eternal glory. But I'd rather have that glory with a goose egg in my loss column.

This match starts off with a BANG. No joke. Literally. He blows up turn 1 and we start the match 5 on 5. I get a crit while he gets up SR and we go to a VERY quick 5-4 game, and then devious mind playing of high level pokes ensues. Raven played very well, I think he got the better of me in prediction, or at least -- he got the most important turns. Should I have gotten them, the game is a blowout and instead we end up with everything one can wish for in a finals.

A fistfight to the very end and there is only one question remaining....
Who is the last man standing? It all comes down to this.

Ok a question for you is this team a better team with a lefties bliss? because I feel like the chople berry was a little bit too gimicky and didnt even get used in the close matches

@rockleeownsu Quite possibly. My original expectation however was that teams are going to have one good answer to Bliss, and Chople-Counter gives Bliss an option to beat their Bliss answer 1 on 1. I didn't think it would be SO rare.

Under that circumstance, Bliss is home free to wallstall the rest of his team due to the mixtier nature. I refuse to believe that this is wrong or faulty logic, it just rarely occurred in action and I'm stunned it didn't happen more. No fighting types vs Bliss???

Really good game.. The disconnect sucked. His Blaziken got the better of you, too bad your Blaze couldn't take care of Gyara and Snorlax, but the rest of your team prevailed nonetheless :).

@JasonKingCon I countered a +2 Scizor Superpower... but aside from that, I'm not sure the Chople-counter ever played a role. I know I took a focus blast once and facepalmed, but it was more of a security blanket that they didn't know about. An ace in the hole I never got to play, and lost lefties for it.

I still don't believe its a BAD concept, I'm stunned how little it came to play in 15 or whatever games this was. Maybe it needs more games, or only in a non-mixtier format.

Is there a way to easily customize your team? People always talk about messing around with teams on the fly. How do you swap move sets? And how can you get the right Hidden Power? Is it really just patience and luck?

How completely appropriate that at the end of the day, it's Blissey that not only wins games, but indeed wins championships as well.

(When you can throw a SNORLAX into the stratosphere eight times in a row...heh.)

lefties bliss would probably be better, but bliss is such a good wall that it barely matters. he had a backup he almost never needed, but he could have needed it.

Pretty nice tournament ending xD Blissey tickling frozen Snorlax to death.

It's a shame Zapdos died, he's really awesome in most of your vids. I love your narration, it's really easy to understand (it's important for me as I am not native English speaker), keeps me interested, simply, entertains me. Snorlax & Gyara outplayed Blaziken in 6:30+ a bit :P
