Ynternasjonaal topmodel Doutzen Kroes hat sneontejûn yn Ljouwert persoanlik de Fryske Parsepriis yn ûntfangst naam. Kroes groeide op yn Eastermar en wennet no yn New York.

Kroes foldocht neffens de Feriening Fryske Sjoernalisten oan ien fan 'e wichtichste betingsten foar de priis. Se hat de publisiteit yn de media net opsocht, mar is dy ek net út 'e wei gien. Doutzen Kroes is sûnt koart ambassadrise fan 'e Fryske taal.
Se is it gesicht fan de nije Praat mar Frysk-kampanje fan de Afûk, dy't koartlyn útein set is.

Topmodel Doutzen Kroes of New York received the annual press award of the Association of Frisian Journalists on December 15. Kroes travelled to the Frisian capital of Ljouwert (Leeuwarden) between a photoshoot in the Caribbean and one in Uganda. She received the award for her professionalism and charm in dealing with the press. Apart from being a top model Kroes is also ambassador of the Frisian language, which is her own mothertongue. She is also the face of the new language campaigne 'Praat mar Frysk' (Speak Frisian!).
