This could be the best beam routine I've ever seen. INCREDIBLE!
-
What is most hilarious is the judges allowed Kui to tie Gina on floor for gold at the 96 Worlds the year before when Gina is far superior on floor to beam, and when Kui's floor routine while nice was absolutely nothing compared to her beam routine here. Too bad they didnt have that same panel, Kui probably would have won by .3 or more then.

@faeryquene I would have had Gina 5th or 6th in the final. Bronze would already have been generous enough. I was shocked when Khorkina was placed below her after her best beam routine ever, then when Kui was as well after this I was flabergasted.

@bernardmvella i'm using 2009 CoP which I think is the latest one. I'm not going to look at the one I currently have because... wait for the reason: It's long, too long, very annoying actually! Lolz... ok, um, she doesn't get some of the CR because she doesn't tumble forwards. For the DV I'm thinking:
Dance: C,B,A
Acro: C,G,C,D (If you're right about the mount it's be G,D,D,C)
Dismount: D
CR: 2.0
CV: 0.3 or 0.4 depending on the LOSO which i'm not so sure.

@coconutmilkshakeXD We're both wrong, it's a D... D - Round-off at end of beam – salto bwd tucked, piked or stretched with step-out to cross or side stand on beam.
The ring jump is a stag ring and is definitely worth a B - Ring (180°separation of legs), or stag-ring jump.
Maybe you're using an old copy of the COP?
-
@bernardmvella the mount is worth a C in todays code... i think it is anyway, but it's not an E, the ring jump is D and B for RO and BH
-
I can understand why Kui felt depressed about not winning this title because it was stolen from her...seriously GG isn't even in the same league xD
-
@coconutmilkshakeXD IT would be upped .1 if the split leap at the start was credited as a switch split though.
-
@coconutmilkshakeXD The E is the LOSO mount. The stag ring is actually only a B (Under-rated skill IMO). The 2 D's are the Rufolva and the dismount. C for LOSO. B for Ring jump, BHS and RO. I'm sure she would have added in a front salto in today's code (error of using previous code routine) so I added the .5 anyway for a fair comparison.

Gina Gogean - the most infamous champion. There is no complexity, no beauty or grace. Judges have stolen gold from the Kui!
Gina Gogean, "the trickster" ... hahaha, that's a fact. Tricked the judges into thinking her routine could even compare to this one.

To me Kui will always be the TRUE 1997 World Balance Beam Champion.
