On this day in Taiji, 8 Risso's dolphins were sentenced to their death in the killing cove of Taiji, Japan. Not without putting up a long and gallant fight!
I met a young boy of just 14 years old at the cove today, a boy who hoped he could use his amazing talents at guitar to somehow make a difference and spread awareness about the dolphin slaughters in Japan... In a shocking and poignant contrast, Ben plays his music while the dolphin drive goes on behind him, in a bid to bring about change in the hearts and minds of people the world over- to educate about the importance of a healthy ocean, where all creatures within are safe from the greedy grasps of mankind...

the stark, sad contrast of the soft melody and the actions of the fishermen with the steadily closing net encirclement of the dolphins prior to the slaughter makes a strong and heartfelt statement. if only these dolphins could get the attention the grey whales off point barrows got. with continuing efforts, maybe it will happen

Wow what beautiful music. But the sound of the banger boats, the slaughtermen shouting and the sight of the dolphins makes me cry :( But what a talented young man and a great way to spread awareness.

video-... i dont know wath more can i do to stop this terorific slaughter, i get very sad to think that the only way to stop that is a big natural disaster, thouse criminals paint all japan with shame and hate from every parts of the world.

I cry so hard for these beloved Lives so crully taken. My heart aches, seeing this atrocity. This music is so beatiful...if you see the boy again, please thank him. It is agonizing to see and hear the hideous bangers & weep for these creatures who at this moment are gone. I hate this! PLEASE TAKE ACTION IF YOU ARE NEW TO THIS CAUSE! Thank you to everyone on-site in Taiji. I am with you in spirit!<3<3<3

Wow! He is just amazing! Such beautiful music & such evil actions being played out at the same time, really highlight the tragedy that happens in Taiji :(
