This is a 1940's Doran Cunningham air horn. Usually found on WWII US Navy destroyer ships, and also found on some older ferries. There are only 2 of these that are being used that I know of. Mine and Adam's (Airraidsiren on YouTube). Very rare that only six have been seen in pictures and each one had a different configuration. The 6B is close to 200lbs. of brass, has a 12" diaphragm,my 6B measures 36 1/4" long, and has an 18" bell/horn opening.
There are markings at the footing of the air inlet "DD416". This is not the biggest horn made; but is considered the best because of it's sound!

  • @BIGMIKESOCAL You need a truck with a bed for that thing. Awsome toy tho.

  • Awesome :)

  • wonder what would happen if you put a potato in there...

  • what happens when the trunk is closed doess it blows the window out ??

  • Dude, that's so awesome!! I love it. How much does that damn thing (& associated plumbing/compressor) weigh? It's a beautiful brass horn, historic, & obscenely loud. Is it a crime to set it off occasionally? People w/money wish they could think of that. Not to mention having the technical abilities to plumb it, & make it work. Good On Ya :-).

  • Is the motorist behind getting too close....??? what a great way to keep tailgators at bay!!

  • Freaking awsome man

  • Could you imagin the New york traffic if that was blowin?

  • thumbs up if you were thinking the car would start moving forward

  • coooool as amazin init
