Dr. Jonathan Schneider Celebration of Service Awards

The 2009 Faith in Action Award is being given to an individual volunteer who has shown extraordinary dedication to helping others though his faith-based organization.

Dr. Jonathan A. Schneider is a gifted physician, led by his faith. He has partnered with St. Vincents Foundation to create a healthcare delivery program to serve the medical needs of over 30,000 uninsured and underserved children in the Jacksonville area. He volunteers more than 95% of his time as Medical Director of St. Vincents care Mobile and oversees at least 10,000 annual patient contacts for children living in poverty on the First Coast. The time, talent and leadership that he so generously gives has helped develop an initiative that will dramatically impact children and their families today as well as in the future. Care Mobile provides immunizations, physicals, health screenings, acute and preventative care and health education to children. This care leads to improved academic performance and school attendance. Dr. Schneiders vision, generosity and creativity is making a difference in the lives of thousands of our communitys undeserved children and their families.
