if you want to get more veggies, i think you can make exceptions with "cooked food" because i have been having steamed veggies for a while along with fruits, and i really don't consider that cheating because thing like cauliflower have to be cooked. all you do is steam it for under 10minutes so it doesn't lose its vitamins, and you put a bit of salt on it if you want, and TA DA! its awesome and don't think you are cheating because this is better than having cravings for chips and fries.

You are totally right! I have started allowing steamed veggies and some times white rice.
