A house fire, most likely sparked by faulty Christmas tree lights, envelopes a living room in a shocking 46 seconds. Fire Kills wants everyone to enjoy their Christmas. Check your Christmas tree lights are in good condition, turn them off before you go to bed and be safe at home over the festive season. Keeping your tree well watered can also prevent fire from taking hold. Fire kills - you can prevent it. http://www.direct.gov.uk/firekills

  • buy a fake christmas tree...

  • I was present during this test.

The tree was not dry, (lets say it was medium) a greener tree would have still gone up but with a slower start.

If anything the test shows the effects of radiant heat and the fast buildup of smoke in a typical house.

No accelerants were used anywhere in the house.

  • @manneke150 Thank god, I always have a fake one, I'll make sure never to buy a real one, haha!!

  • In any of the Christmas tree fire videos the comments are always about not leaving lights on when you're not home. The real issue isn't the lights it's a dry tree. Even if this room had 10 people in there the results would be the same. Once the tree ignited the people would not have had time to do anything but run like hell

  • ВАЖНО!

  • this is sad even if it isnt real.:(

  • I can't help but think that the song in the background just adds insult to injury

  • @Ratonga back to candles then

  • @ydools because you're a paranoid conspiracy theorist?

  • @Ratonga : No, they should be inspected and tested every year. Heck, any bad electrical connection in your house can do this, anything plugged into a wall outlet. Test the lights before you get them on the tree. And...LED lights don't matter. It's still electricity, and electrical shorts in any wires can do the exact same thing.

  • And this is why electric christmas lights should be banned.

My household has not used electric lights for about 15 years. They are not worth the risk.

  • Why do I feel like this was created in After Effects?
