**Nick's POV**
Outside of everybodys' head it was silent. But it was loud in there minds. Brandi and Noah wanted to know they same. Their minds were spinning with confusion since they just found out they had a sister and a brother. Marissa's mom and dad looked down ashamed. They should be for the reason for giving up their two children. Marissa stared blankly at them scared of what they might say. I was scared too. How could they do that to Marissa and Jack?!
Tish sighed and looked up. "I don't think we should talk about this. We really have to go." She walked out of the room and Marissa's Dad, Billy, followed. The sisters gave Marissa a hugged and walked out. I didn't mind them. They didn't know what was going on. Marissa looked at me with tears in her eyes.
"They didn't want me." She looked down whispering.
"No. No. That's not it at all!" I lied. She looked up at me.
"Well, then why did they give away me and Jack?" I paused for a moment trying to think of an answer.
"Well, we you and Jack were born they didn't have any money to raise you. They gave you and Jack up. Even Brandi up at the time because they knew you would have a better life so you can live happily. But once your father and mother got better jobs and kept getting promotions, they had enough to get you back. They had Noah and they searched everywhere for Brandi and found her. But you and Jack was impossible to find for them. It was like you never existed on this planet." I said.
"Well, I guess that is a good reason." She sighed. She gave me a kiss on the cheek.
"Thanks Nick." She said and walked into her room. I sighed. I wanted to tell her the truth so badly, but it would hurt her too much. I can't let her know the reason they gave her and Jack up was because Jack was mental and they thought Marissa was too.

**Marissa's POV**
((Two days later))
We pulled up to a familiar church and saw a bunch of people walking in patting tissue to their eyes and blowing noses. I looked down and played with my fingers till Nick grabbed them and interwined them together. I looked up into his soft golden caramel eyes. He brushed his hand across my cheeks and wiped the tears that I had shed.
"I don't think I can do this Nick." I cried softly.
"You can. You're so strong inside. Jack would want you to attend."
"But it's all my fault he's dead. I could've saved him Nick." I cried lookin down. He lifted my chin up with his hand and made me look up into his eyes.
"It is no ones' fault Marissa. Do this for Jack. Leah and John are dieing to see you."
"Don't say that word." I sighed opening the door to the car and jumped out. Nick was already next to me.
"Sorry." He mumbled putting his arm around my waist pulling me closer to him. He gave me a kiss on the head and we started walking towards the church. We took a couple steps into the church and immediatley the eyes were on us. Lots of them were wide eyed.
"Nick, I shouldn't be here. People think I'm dead." I turned to him.
"Don't worry about it. Just ignore them." Nick rubbed my arm. I nodded and we got in line to see Jack. The closer we got the more frightened I became. Finally, we were next in line. Nick squeezed me a little harder as we took a step forward to see his pale face. I stared at Jack's lifeless body as tears began to sting my eyes. Suddenly I felt sick. Like this was all my fault he is dead. Yet, he looked so peaceful. I had the urge to bite him just to see if it wasn't too late.
"No." Nick said.
"How'd you-"
"Most of the time your mind is silent to me but I just heard you say that and No. It is too late Marissa."
"Marissa." I lady whispered behind me. I turned to see Leah. She was majorly pale like she was sick and her eyes were red and watery.
"Mom." I hugged her. She cried a little more.
"You called me mom." She cried.
"Because you are my mom." I smiled. No matter what Leah was more of a mom to me than Tish was. My mom pulled out of a hug and wiped her tears away.
"I miss you so much Marissa." Mom smiled and wiped some more tears. John came up to me and hugged me too.
"I miss you guys too." I smiled. Suddenly the music started to play and we all took our seats. John and Leah sat all the way up front and me and Nick took our seats at the back. The pastor started to talk and I fiddled with my fingers. I couldn't be here anymore. Guilt washed over me.
