62nd National Hard Crab Derby--Crisfield, Maryland

After 62 years, one thing is for sure—the National Hard Crab Derby is a proven success— and proven to be a family fun-filled weekend. This Labor Day weekend, September 4th, 5th, and 6th, make your plans to come to the beautiful waterfront community of Crisfield, Maryland to enjoy and celebrate everyones favorite crustacean, the Maryland Blue Crab. With three action packed days, there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy including a 10K race/walk, Main Street Parade, Crab Races, Crab Picking contest, entertainment, carnival rides, fantastic food, and much, much more.
Back by popular demand is the 3rd Annual Hard Crab Derby Concert scheduled for Saturday, September 5th at 7:00pm. This year, Opposite Directions will be opening the event as we swing into The Ultimate Rolling Stones Experience, with the best Rolling Stones Tribute band there is—Hot Rocks. This is the official Crab Derby party and an event you dont want to miss. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the gate and may be purchased by contacting the Crisfield Area Chamber of Commerce at 410-968-2500.
Theres one event on the schedule that has put Crab Derby on the map—the 38th Annual Boat Docking Contest held Sunday, September 6th at 1pm. With $30,000 given away in prize money, this Boat Docking contest is the best and biggest on the Bay. Come join approximately 3,000 people at The Watermens NASCAR event, and watch watermen compete in six different classes and vie for the official championship in the shoot-out heat. Gates open at 10:30 with practice rounds occurring until the start so come early to get a great seat for one of the most highly anticipated water events of the summer.
