Amateur hour BEWARE. DO NOT DO THIS TO YOUR XBOX 360!!! It wrecks and xbox and warps the board. It may work for a while but when it breaks again it's done for good. You need to reball it with better solder. Do not use Arctic Silver 5, too much cure time, use MX4. Before your Xbox breaks put on a TR-360 with MX-4. I thought everyone knew this by now.

Thanks for this video -- I just recently performed x-clamp replacement with arctic silver because I aquired an xbox that starts with sound but no video (was told it suffered from RROD and has been in storage for over a year). My fix didn't seem to help... still no video, and my fans sound like they're running hard. I used some neoprene washers and have the heatsink screws tightened pretty loosely, but to where they resist a bit. Any suggestions? I'll go play with the tension now...

@1nsan3tranc3 did you try it on another monitor? it might be your monitor overheating if it is a plasma lcd tv. if it does it for any system then it would be your monitor if not then either a setting issue or your xbox not having enough preasure on the gpu.
