@mchapm15 Thanks. That was a hard step to learn and no one broke it down for me. I have 279 more steps at unitedtaps(dot)com.

That was freakin AWESOME!! I was like, "I REALLY want to learn some NEW steps!" And all the hoofers like Savion Glover, Gregory Hines, and so forth go so fast that it's hard to pick out individual steps. This is the first of your videos I've seen. I am hopeful that there are more things I can practice before I go to Tapestry in Austin. Thanks a ton!

@calichoreo Thank you I appreciate that.

Gosh! That's so great! My brother can do this step but he just can't explain it to me, you did it, now, let's work! Your explanations are very good, but I feel it will take me a long time before i can to do it. You must be a great tap teacher. Come to give us a workshop here, in Switzerland ;-)

@Loulialouns I'm glad my explanation helped to clear it up. I wasn't given a break-down either so I had to figure one out. It took me 2 weeks to get this step so don't feel bad if it takes a while. I would love to come to Switzerland some day to teach.

Are there some similar steps that you would recommend learning at the same time? Anything that would help gear the feet and the mind in the same direction as the Triffle?

@mchapm15 Not for this one. It is it's own beast. Sorry.

Whoa! Much harder than it looks! I wish it could be broken down even more. Hmm. And I'm thinking that the first 2 sounds are the beginning of a wing?
mchapm15 10 months ago
@mchapm15 Nope. The first two sounds of a wing are a scrape out and a spank in. The first sound of the hoofer's shuffle is to hit the outside edge of the tap. The second one is the tricky part. It's basically just a flat tap on the ball but it's the result of straightening the leg quickly and lifting the hip slightly.
