Frampton is like Thin Lizzy in the fact that the studio does not do them justice, but you put them in front of a crowd and they just KICK ASS and LEAVE LARGE FOOTPRINT. I used to listen to Frampton comes alive and Thin Lizzy Live and dangerous on the way to concerts and man it made ALOT of bands that I thougt were good enough to go see, ABSOLUTLEY SUCK as they were nowhere near as good as the bands I ROCKED to on the way to the shows.LMAO!!!

why don't you include the song titles?

like canvas art, i don't know much about it, but i know when i like it. same with frampton and this album. i didn't know he had it in 'im, but i love it. the concert was indeed amazing. i remember he brought out R2D2 onto the stage. if i remember right pure prairie league opened for him. i've seen a lot of concerts, but this ranks among the best.

I think what happened with this album is that the performance, the crowd action, and just everything about the moment and this new sound coming alive and loud in 76 spoiled us forever. I've seen Frampton live many times since this recording, but this recording was magical. Amazing.

Saw him at the Austin Coliseum in '79. Worth ever bit the $2.00 I paid for the ticket.
House of Blues Houston 10-16-11: Not worth $300.00 per ticket.

The best there was in the mid 70's - not so good: Technique, not creativity (as opposed to the 60's).

The first album I ever bought. I can still play it over and over again. The soundtrack of my life (until now).
