"The reason why Washington, DC, is number one in HIV and AIDS. Yeah but a lot of it is traced back to this whole notion of, 'Well, these people are sinful.' Well, if I'm talking I'm a sinner because I'm gay, and I'm already condemned to hell then why in the hell would I even bother with a condom? I'm already going to hell. So why would I be concerned about my health because I'm already going to hell? By the way, why should I be concerned about yours too? "

"And so what I'm saying is that homophobia breeds. Its a health risk. Its a health risk especially for black folk. Its a health risk and so for the sake of the lives of people, we have got call the name of what it is and understand that as long as we continue to allow it and preach it because 'personally I agree with it,' we are killing our own people. Were killing our own people."

That is a really a good point. Additionally, homophia and the DL is has became and still remains the focus not HIV/AIDS. The physical, emotional, and psychological health of the African-American community.
