It's good to see that we still aren't only praising the old 10 mpg 500 hp monstrosities that have the same 1960's technology.

46.9mpg? I'm on a tank better than 70mpg and I'm really not trying. Ford, build a car with super aerodynamics, beat the 1st Gen Honda Insight, and a Ford might be my next car. I have NEVER had a tank as low as 46.9mpg since I got my current daily driver, it would require some work to get that low with my car. I'm having a hard time watching the wheels of progress moving backwards. I give tons of positive credit to Ecoboost, best thing you've ever done! Next combine aerodynamics, get serious.

Still very interesting. I have a 335d, which is EPA rated at 36 mpg. On a run from Savannah to Chatanooga, I managed over 40 mpg by driving with exquisite care (70 mph most of the way). The keys were simple. Smooth, slow acceleration, brake as little as humanly possible, short shift & keep revs low, and no AC (it was a nice crisp Winter day). Had the Top Gear Basel to Blackpool & London to Edinburg and back episodes playing in the backgroud for inspiration.

Yea it do THA xenon headlights Wuld Relly stand out. If only ford had tht option wit a tech package or sumthin.
