People say alot of current bands today are "ripping off" this music. Well, I logically disagree. See, while yes people like Owl City have a similar feel, he plainly uses bands like this as inspiration. Nothing any more is original, simply inspired.

the point's you're trying to make is flawed. what do you consider "original"? every single band/aritst you consider original was influenced by someone else. you're giving owl city shit for being influenced by postal service. I guess nirvana sucks too since kurt openly admitted to being influenced by pixies and I guess Ben Gibbard (postal serivce singer) sucks too because he too was influenced by nirvana/pixies. Pixies Influenced>Nirvana Influenced>Postal Service Influenced>Owl City. End of story
