true, but my students were not at point in the course where we introduce L'Hopital's rule and this problem was part of their problem set. We use an "early transcendentals" version for our first course of the calculus sequence and the students must know how to compute limits analytically before they are taught L'Hopital.
Helpful, but in this case you could have simply used L'Hopital's rule.
